New physician: Jaimin S. Shah, M.D.

Jaimin S. Shah, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and board eligible in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). He completed his residency training in OB/GYN at the McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. During this time, Dr. Shah was inspired by a patient diagnosed with breast cancer and found working with a reproductive endocrinologist (REI) to help preserve the patient’s future fertility a fulfilling experience. A Houston native, Dr. Shah proudly returns to Texas to provide patient care at SGF Houston’s new Spring office.

Active clinical trials and research studies 

ADAM is a trial investigating the efficacy and safety of treatment with FE 999049 in men with Idiopathic Infertility to assess the chance of improved spontaneous pregnancy in their current female partner. 

Key participation requirements: 

  • Male participant must be aged 18-50 years old; Current female partner must be aged 18-35 years old 
  • Commitment: Male participant will visit the trial site 8 times for tests and procedures 
  • Male participant must have documented infertility for 12-60 months with current female partner 
  • Male participant & current female partner cannot obtain infertility treatment outside of this trial for 9 months from enrollment 
  • Male participant must not have a Body Mass Index >35 kg/m2 
  • Male participant must not have history of drug abuse within 12 months prior to screening

We understand the financial considerations that go into the decision to begin — or continue — fertility treatment. As part of our efforts to make treatment more affordable, we participate with a wide network insurance providers. SGF has also developed exclusive financial programs to help ease the cost of treatment, including our Shared Risk 100% Refund Program.

Prior to starting treatment, patients undergo complete diagnostic testing and will talk with one of our fertility specialists to establish a plan forward. *This insurance carrier may require authorization and/or a referral from your primary care physician prior to your new patient visit and pre-screening.

Female fertility testing includes ultrasounds, hysterosalpingograms (HSGs), ovarian reserve testing and bloodwork to check hormone levels.

Male infertility testing includes a semen analysis. If the results are abnormal, you may undergo additional testing or be referred to a reproductive urologist for a comprehensive evaluation to determine the cause.
